Chrib The Phrog Stream Slides

Chris (A.K.A. Chrib The Phrog) is a semi-popular fighting genre gamer who streams on Youtube and uploads shorts and clips to the platform. The client requested brightly colored, cel-shaded styling, that games like Borderlands 2 and Street Fighter 6 utilize, while maintaining the rowdy and mature themes of a fighting game. With that the client and I worked through multiple color palettes, orientations, and textures to create something that both utilized his avatar and successfully engaged the fighting genre through a still image.

The base textures and heading were hand made, digitized and edited through Photoshop. The majority of the brushwork and spatter was also created by hand, or through altering various brushes in Photoshop.

The commission is for a series of slides to be used for his Tekken tournament stream and to be used for promotion during the weeks leading up to it.
