Fantasy Football Team Logos - Commissions
These are logos made for teams competing in various leagues for the fantasy tabletop board game, Blood Bowl, which is a very literal fantasy version of American Football. Each icon embodies the spirit, and history, of the team through associated iconography, careful color choice, and application of their brand nouns. Designing for this wide assortment of, aspiring and seasoned, coaches was a great critical thinking challenge and added a lot of variety and fun in-between projects. These logos had to be done quickly and efficiently to appropriately meet with the demands of the coach before their season kicked off, otherwise their team gets left without that extra spirit and spice during the match!
*Any reference to fictional characters or games and imagery are the property of their sole owners and I therefore have no rights to them, however these were all still designed by myself and are free of nay copyright infringement. As such all of these logos were made pro bono for the sake of the Blood Bowl community and for the love of the game!

Race: Human
Brand Nouns/Adjectives: Pursuer, Jack O’ Lantern, Spirits, Spooky
Notes: This team was inspired by the story of “The Headless Horsemen” and the coach prepped his team to match, donning pumpkins for helmets and even naming the players after the characters from the short story. I went for a haunted, vengeful theme to match the fear of being chased by a Dullahan through a forest at night. Bewildered by not only this powerful mythological creature, but also the swirling paranoid thoughts in one’s mind.
Race: Ogre
Brand Nouns/Adjectives: Armor, Broken, Mongolian, Maw
Notes: In the narrative of this game Ogres were based off of the Mongol hoard that invaded China during the time of Genghis Khan, mimicking that during the teams creation. The “Heavy Plate” from the team name comes from the thick iron gut plate that the players would wear onto the pitch, and the pointed, jagged triangles are indicative of the “Great Maw” that the players worship as they feast on everything in sight. Including the other teams!
Race: Gnome
Brand Nouns/Adjectives: United States, Freedom, Peaceful, Fishing
Notes: This particular team’s name was the perfect parody on the U.S.A. and its Department of Defense, or Homeland Security. Because of that I decided to add a more traditional stars and stripes pattern to the text and add a thick, bold, outline to make it still readable. The billed hat of the gnome shown gave it a similar look to a baseball hat, reinforcing the image of a stereotypical America in a fantasy world. Overall the parody of the name with the logo showcases the only thing a gnome really has, and that’s the right to defend their property, with htheir weapon… a fishing rod.
Race: Khorne
Brand Nouns/Adjectives: Farmers, Skulls, Ranch-hands, Evil
Notes: A Khorne team is a team based entirely off the wanton murder of people, seeking only bloodshed and the harvesting of skulls for the god they worship. Being a “harvest’ the coach thought it would be humorous to have the players be, instead of bloodthirsty warriors, farmers, ranch-hands, and farm animals with the goal of reaping what they sow, skulls! This took the form of a Western based theme with a demonic twist. Overall the emblem exudes the feelings of a creepy, satanic, twisted team from Texas.
